Financing Headaches....

*Can't believe I left my blog idle for over a year?! Has it been that long?*

Today my ex-collegue approached me to invest in a more agressive unit trust with at least 20% return. Existingly I already have myPublic Mutual, super safe one with returns as well but minimal returns. So I guess its makes sense to balance out the portfolio with some safe and some agressive.

At this moment, I am quite happy with my finances I guess. Comfortable. I get to buy myself something pretty once in a while and I am also saving. Though I've been working for 7 years already, I've just managed to get my finances sorted out.

1. 6 months saving of commitments - checked
2. credit card at minimal -checked
3. house (well half a house since I am sharing with Ter) - checked
4. life insurance (those ivestment linked ones, thanks to Kev)- checked
5. investment in unit trust (monthly contributions, but not alot, working on it) - checked
6. ???

In future what do I want? Or how else should I build wealth? Maybe not so much of wealth but more of for our retirement or my early retirement (hehehe while Ter still works), or our future children's education? Or for so that our future children doesn't have to work as hard as the us?

Shares?
Well I am not the speculating type and I guess I am scared to lose my hard earn money.. probably long term in blue chip companies to to reap the dividends?

Other properties?
Nowadays to own a home is so bloody expensive. If you don't have at least RM500k, no talk (mind you, this is probably in the outskirts of KL too). This past 2009/10, property prices doubled or more.. prices are crazy.. but I would like to own a couple more to have some passive income for when I retire next time.. when I have the means first la.. I already have an existing homeloan which finishes when I retire...

Foreign currency?
Well, Pounds (averagely RM 5 to 1Pound) and USD (averagely RM3 to USd1) are at low. It would be nice to change and keep and wait till the rates go up again to RM7 and RM3.8 respectively. But unfortunately, I don't have that kinda cash to tie up for so long...

Hmmm... so tell me what else can I do? Something bit by bit... Maybe I should start investing in lottery tickets and hope to win that JACKPOT of RM15 million??!! muahhahahahah *dr. evils pinky on lips action*
